Lakenheath FC v Stowmarket Town Match Report

A threat of rain didn’t keep Stow and Heath fans away from the pit, for our first pre-season friendly against newly-promoted to Step 4 Stow Town.

And as the referee blew his whistle, away we went..! The opening 10 minutes saw Stow dominant on the ball, creating a number of chances and half-chances, however after that window of opportunity for them we began getting well back into the game, being organised and structured defensively, in the midfield, and up front. 2 debuts today for 2/3rds of the new Walsham trio meant we were excited to some new blood in action today.

In the 35th minute Stow give away a penalty after a cheap handball, Tommy got a good save out of the keeper and just missed the rebound, very unlucky and we felt like we could’ve been 1-0 ahead.
