Rhys Mazey - Injury Update

In last night’s Lakenheath Reserves match against AFC Walpole, Lakenheath player Rhys Mazey sustained a serious injury in which he was taken into hospital from the Nest. The game was abandoned by the officials.

Rhys has been kept in hospital overnight and it’s been confirmed that he has broken his tibia and fibula bones. He will be having an operation today to reset his leg and further have rods put in place as part of this.

We send our best wishes to Rhys as he seeks to recover from this injury, and would like to thank everybody who helped yesterday evening.
